Dormer's E268 machine tap is for metric fine threading. It comes in a wide range of sizes starting at M4 and going all the way to M50 and is a very versatile product being suitable for threading a wide range of materials including steels, aluminium and stainless steel. The straight flute design makes it perfect for threading both through and blind holes whilst improved performance and longer tool life is assured as the tap is manufactured from powder metal High Speed cobalt. Finally, the E268 comes with a bright finish to help you produce cleaner, more accurate threads by making sure the work piece material does not stick to the edges of the cutting tool.
